The history of the Auvergne Embassy

On the edge of the Marais in the heart of Paris, we find L'Ambassade d'Auvergne; a true institution of postcard Paris and one of the last Parisian bistros.

With over 100 years of history, first as an inn and then as a place of life and sharing offering fine local cuisine and bringing together Parisians, travelers, workers and passers-by; that was born, opposite the Halles de Paris and in the 1960s, the Embassy of Auvergne, run by the Petrucci Family.

Today, the Ambassade d'Auvergne, a family business, continues the tradition by offering the best of French gastronomy brought up to date, still with the specialties that made its reputation: canaille starters, Aubrac and Salers meat, fishing from small boats, pan-fried snails and Aligot served at the table.

This cuisine would be nothing without the best local produce from Auvergne and elsewhere, delivered directly each morning by our selected producers.

For lovers of fine wines, a wine cellar of over 3,000 bottles with the best of French regions and a fine collection of digestifs.
